Eastern Docks · Ocean & QEII
Ocean Terminal (SO14 3QN) and the Queen Elizabeth II Terminal (SO14 3GG) sit in the Eastern Docks, both entered at Gate 4, beside Ocean Village. Leave by the A33 to the M27.
Western Docks · Mayflower / City / Horizon
Mayflower, City and Horizon share the SO15 1HJ Western Docks postcode and Gates 8, 10 and 20. Lying further west, that run is 67 miles rather than 65, leaving by the M271.
Turnaround day, both directions
The Port Authority, not your cruise line, assigns the berth, so your terminal appears on the line's final documentation. Disembarkation runs roughly 07:00 to 09:30; embarkation closes well before sailing.
Cruise luggage is not airport luggage. Cruise passengers carry about two large cases each plus a suit carrier, so an MPV8 that seats eight holds only six of them. Six cruise passengers need the vehicle that eight airport passengers would take. Eight cruise passengers need a minibus.

Uses the A33 or M271 out of Southampton, one junction of M27, the full M3, and the M25 western quadrant. The A34 plays no part — that's the Newbury/Oxford approach to the M4.

SO14 & SO15 addresses and the Eastern Docks leave on the A33 The Avenue; the Western Docks, Millbrook and Totton use the M271 to M27 Junction 3; Woolston and Bitterne take the A3024. M3 Junction 14 and M27 Junction 4 are the same junction under two numbers — the Chilworth Interchange.

It is not Terminal 5 — reaching T5 from the bus station means another rail transfer with your cases. Wrong terminal at booking?
The Port Authority-style rule holds for cruise, and airline-alliance allocation for flights: your terminal appears on the booking documentation. If it changes, tell us — a different terminal within the airport doesn't move the fare, only the M25 exit junction.
