We collect from and drop at all three Dover cruise terminals at the Western Docks and the Eastern Docks ferry terminal. Same fare whichever it is — but the wrong postcode into a sat-nav means arriving at the wrong dock with luggage.
The single question every cruise passenger asks first is: which terminal will my ship use? The straightforward answer is that the cruise line assigns the berth, not the passenger, and it is usually confirmed a few weeks before sailing on your line's port information page. What we can say with certainty is that our fixed fare does not change whichever terminal it is — CT1, CT2 and WD4 are all the same postcode and the same drive from Heathrow.

What changes a fare
The exact pick-up postcode (residential CT16/CT17 addresses are a slightly different mileage from the CT17 9DQ cruise terminals or CT16 1JA ferry terminal), the vehicle you choose, the date and time, and any extras such as child seats. What does not change is that we quote a fixed number — no meter, no traffic surge, no late-night uplift.

TfL-licensed driver, all tolls, the £7 Heathrow drop-off charge, flight monitoring on inbound journeys (British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, Emirates, Air France, KLM and Star Alliance carriers via IATA feeds), meet-and-greet inside Arrivals with a name-board, 60-minute complimentary Arrivals waiting, quayside pick-up on outbound journeys, free child seats on request, and payment by Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, cash or corporate account.
We will be honest about this because few operators are. There is no direct train from Dover to Heathrow — Dover Priory to Heathrow means two changes, and the cheapest advance single is around £34.70 (Trainline, checked July 2026 — verify at travel).
On that advance fare, the train is cheaper for one to four people and our car becomes cheaper from five people upward:

Book on the day and the walk-up single from Dover Priory is around £48.60, plus the onward Heathrow leg. Our car then becomes cheaper from four people. Also worth knowing: the "two changes" label overstates the trek — one of the changes is often a short walk between adjoining stations rather than a cross-London ordeal. It is still every case carried by hand.
The coach is the cheapest way to make this journey and we will not pretend otherwise.
What National Express does
National Express runs Dover to London Victoria roughly hourly, in a little under three hours, from around £10.00, with stops at the Eastern Docks ferry terminal and Pencester Road (nationalexpress.com, checked July 2026).
What it isn't · a Heathrow service
The airport leg is a separate onward transfer bought at Victoria Coach Station, which adds a change, more time, and your own luggage handling at both ends. It's the right choice on a tight budget with one bag; it's the wrong choice with a cruise's worth of cases and a flight to catch.
Dover to Heathrow is around 100 road miles, taking about 2h 15m off-peak and 2h 45m – 3h 20m at peak. We build the peak buffer into the schedule rather than shaving the estimate.

Why no Dartford Crossing charge on our routing
Because we take the M25 anticlockwise from Junction 3, we never cross the Thames at Dartford. Some Kent-corridor pages have to talk about the crossing fee at length; on the Dover run, it simply does not apply. Different routings from elsewhere in Kent do — but not from Dover.
Where the M25 variance sits
J3 to J15 is the section that runs slow on Fridays and around bank holidays, which is why we buffer that leg rather than the M20 or the M4. We add 30–45 minutes to the schedule for Friday afternoon departures and multi-ship cruise days.
The inbound half of this corridor carries the majority of the demand, so we treat it as the main event.

Cruise disembarkation usually begins around 06:30 and runs in assigned groups over 60 to 90 minutes. We ask for your assigned disembarkation time when you book, rather than guessing, and we wait on the quayside while you clear immigration on board and get luggage off, instead of circling.

How far is Dover from Heathrow Airport?
About 100 road miles via the M20 and M25. Published third-party figures vary between 92 and 100 miles depending on the source; we plan every fare on the conservative 100-mile figure so the fixed price you see holds through any routing variation.
How long does the drive take?
About 2 hours 15 minutes when the roads are clear. Expect 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes in peak conditions, especially Friday afternoons on the M25 between Junctions 3 and 15.

Is there a direct train from Dover to Heathrow?
No. Dover Priory to Heathrow requires two changes, though one is often a short walk between adjoining stations rather than a cross-London trek. Cheapest advance single around £34.70; walk-up around £48.60 plus the onward Heathrow leg.
Is a coach cheaper than a taxi?
National Express runs Dover to London Victoria for as little as £10.00, and it is cheaper than any other option for a single passenger travelling light. But you then need a separate onward transfer from Victoria Coach Station to Heathrow, which adds time, a change and hand-carried luggage at both ends. Not a Heathrow service in itself.

All four — T2, T3, T4 and T5 — with meet-and-greet inside Arrivals on inbound journeys and forecourt drop-off on outbound. The Heathrow terminal you use does not change our fare.
Do you cover the Dartford Crossing charge?
The routing we use (M20 → M25 J3 anticlockwise → J15 → M4 J4b) never crosses the Thames at Dartford, so no crossing charge applies to Dover ↔ Heathrow. Different routings from elsewhere in Kent do — but not from Dover.
How much time should I leave for a Heathrow flight from a Dover cruise?
Work backwards from your check-in close (typically 60 minutes before departure for short-haul, 60–90 minutes for long-haul). Add the ~2h 15m drive plus a 30-minute M25 buffer plus your disembarkation window. As a rule of thumb, a 12:00 flight from T5 wants a 06:45 quayside pick-up on a single-ship day; a busy multi-ship day may want 06:15.
