The A24 does not pass Worthing on its way somewhere else. It ends here, at the A259 in Worthing town centre, after 53.2 miles down from Clapham in south-west London (per Wikipedia, A24 road, checked 31 July 2026). So the road to the airport starts at the bottom of the town.
